CocktailRatio

About CocktailRatio

CocktailRatio exists because batch cocktails fail on dilution, not on recipes.

Every classic sour — the Daiquiri, Margarita, Whiskey Sour — lives on one ratio: 2 parts spirit, 1 part citrus, 0.75 part syrup. Learn that skeleton and fifty cocktails collapse into variations. The other half of home bartending is arithmetic: batching without over-diluting, and knowing what a pitcher actually contains.

Our calculators run the numbers hosts need: recipe scaling with bottle math, ABV and standard drinks per serving, the dilution water that makes batched drinks taste stirred, and the sour-balance readout.

We are educators, not retailers. Nothing here sells spirits, and your bar math never leaves your browser.

What makes CocktailRatio different

  • Your numbers never leave your browser. Every calculator on CocktailRatio runs entirely on your device. We never see, store, or transmit the figures you enter — there are no accounts and no server-side processing of your inputs.
  • Published methodology. Each calculator page explains the exact formula it uses and the assumptions behind it, so you can check our work or reproduce it in a spreadsheet.
  • Free, forever, without a paywall. CocktailRatio is supported by advertising. There is no premium tier, no email gate, and no upsell.
